ADHD Coaching
ADHD Coaching is a specialised area of coaching, aimed to help people with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. I support clients by developing a comprehensive understanding of both the nature of their ADHD and ADHD’s impact on their quality of life.
Coaching sessions involve working with clients and parents to create and identify the “Six S’s”: Strengths, Structures, Support, Systems, Skills, and Strategies.
Coaching supports clients with ADHD to stay focused on their goals, face obstacles and address core ADHD-related issues including working memory, time management, emotional regulation, sleep issues, organisation, planning, procrastination, prioritising tasks, controlling impulsivity and many other challenges people with ADHD face. Coaching also allows clients to gain clarity and function more effectively to improve their self-esteem.
Utilising proven tools and models to clearly explain ADHD, I assist clients in identifying how and where ADHD can impact daily living, and with the help of the client’s understanding of their own journey with ADHD (or their child’s), recognise their own specific type of ADHD and how it manifests in different situations. Our coaching sessions are designed to empower the client to discover their own solutions. This involves me asking powerful questions that will encourage them to explore different strategies that work in harmony with their ADHD brain.
I also help clients and families better understand ADHD from early childhood and the changes it brings across the lifespan.
